Help me plan a baby shower/celebration

I’ve been volunteered to organise my sisters baby shower. I’m finding it quite difficult as I cannot have any more children myself, after two septic losses. Until now, I’ve avoided all things babies/pregnancies so finding it all a bit much.

I really want to make it special for them - They are so excited.

Sister and partner want it more as a celebration as opposed to traditional baby shower for women only. It will be close family, friends - children are also welcome.

I’ve invited who they want to attend, sorted the venue and times, shared the gift registry etc.

Any advice or guidance on what else to sort? Just finding it all very overwhelming.

Sounds like you've got everything covered. Do the guests know what time they're expected to leave the venue? Is there going to be food? It sounds lovely. I really hope you all enjoy it, especially you, sounds like you've had a really tough time. You sound like a great sister

Bless you, I’m sorry for your losses.

Are you sure you want to do this and if you feel you have to or even want to, do you have a friend who’s a natural party planner that could assist?

@OnTheDrive
So sorry for your loss.
Are you doing games?
We didn't for DD but we had a few things to do.
A long trestle table:
●Cheap white primark baby grows with fabric paint for guests to decorate and the new parents to keep.
●A big jar of sweets, guess how many sweets in the jar, for the children.
●Cards for giving child raising advice, the answers were hilarious.
●Cards to guess the sex/weight.
●Packets of seeds, dependent on due date, plant now or when baby is born.
●Pin the dummy on the baby game for the children.
●We had a cake made from nappy as a center piece.

Silly stuff like that, everyone enjoyed it, they could wander up to the table at their leisure.

Most of it came from ebay, I put baby shower items in the search engine.
