I really would like to get my teeth whitened, even if it’s only a few shades. I asked at the dentist and I just can’t afford it at nearly £600. Is there anything I can use which won’t wreck the enamel or make my teeth too sensitive? I find colegate teeth whitening toothpaste rubbish. What products have you used which have helped? Thank you!

I work at a dentist.
Shop bought whitening products do nothing and also damage the enamel in your teeth, theres nowhere near the amount of peroxide needed in shop bought to make any difference, its just a waste of money for something that doesnt work.

I have spent money at the dentist having this done, but it never seems to work. The only thing that made any difference is mysweetsmile strips. Still not super white. I have no idea how people achieve that.

I found this toothpaste actually did work. Not Jordan white, but more than one person saw a difference. I do drink a LOT of black coffee, if that affects results!
Oral B 3D white advanced.

Crest whitening strips work well so I’m told by trusted sources and worth a go if you are on a budget . You need to buy them direct from their website site , you won’t find them on Amazon .
However , dentist led whitening is the safest and most effective method.
600 pounds is a lot , you can easily find home whitening treatments with a dentist for less than half that . Look for the brand Beautique Whitening which I would highly recommend.
Be aware that fillings , veneers , crowns and exposed dentine do not whiten , if you have a lot of any of these then you may not be happy with your result ( I’m a Dental Hygienist trained and working in supervised home whitening that’s been prescribed by a Dentist first )

Crest whitestrips are the only ones that work. You need to get them from the US though as they're not licensed here.

I've recently received Purely White powder (despite cancelling the purchase but that's another story) and don't know whether there's any harm trying it out? Don't want to cause my teeth any issues though 🤔

This. Also those imported whitening strips look like they work in the short run but they achieve that by dehydrating your teeth which is why it wears off. It’s part of the damage they do. Dehydrated teeth are not healthy.

Yep this is what I’ve used in the past, they do work op because they have more bleach in or something
