Anyone ever tried anything Chinese holistic and felt better?

New shop opened near us advertising a variety of Chinese feel good practices including massage, herbal tea and acupuncture.
I wondered if anyone has ever felt genuinely better after this kind of thing? I'm slightly dubious as up until recently they ran a takeaway and the woks are still hung up

I've had some acupuncture post cancer treatment (I'd lost loads of weight, and my body had taken a bit of a battering with chemo, surgery and radiotherapy), and I certainly felt 'lighter' and sort of refreshed afterwards. I've never had any other Chinese remedy though. My acupuncturist was very highly recommended though.

I had acupuncture during ivf. I found it helpful. It reduced my stress and meant I could still work while doing treatment. I tried herbal remedies but they tasted rancid and I struggled to ger them down. Also, i went to someone highly recommended not a backstreet ex takeaway.

If they've just hung up their woks, I'd go elsewhere. But there is evidence that acupuncture can be effective for some things, and the NHS occasionally refers patients to have acupuncture.

Ok thank you, I might give it ago and if still feeling lousy after I'll order number 31

I regularly have acupuncture as part of my osteopathy appointments.

I would give acupuncture and massage a go but wouldn't touch any oral herbal treatments. Chinese herbs are very dangerous/ toxic if you don't know what you are doing and I certainly wouldn't take anything from a new practitioner.

I had physio treatment that included some acupuncture after a whiplash injury, the acupuncture was amazing! My physio (who was qualified to do acupuncture) did say to me that some people really respond to acupuncture and some don't. I personally found it incredibly relaxing and helpful
