11 year old DS comes home, has a gaming session, then dinner, then homework, then he might kick a ball about for 10 mins in the garden then he just wants to flop and watch TV from about 6:30-9pm. I get he is tired from the first term and needs rest.
The TV is then on right up until he goes to bed. This is clocking up a lot of screen time. If we want to turn it off earlier we are too strict apparently.
I think kids need time to mooch in their own heads and time to decompress (off screen) as well.
They aren't allowed phones/screens in their bedroom overnight.
Do you have a TV off time?
