I would feel better if people told me they didn't like me rather than try to hide it

  1. Am autistic so hard time understanding people anyway
  2. UK indirect culture doesn't help
  3. If someone didn't like me for whatever reason, I would be ok with it
  4. Cos I don't like everyone so why would i expect the same for others?

I hear you, but that just isn't the culture or social norm for most people. If someone makes no effort to include you, be pleasant to you, or if they actively avoid you, it is safe to say they don't like you or at the least, they don't consider you a friend and you can adjust your expectations of them accordingly.

vodkaredbullgirl · 19/10/2026 10:26

🤔cant see why.

Watchoutfortheslowaraf · 19/10/2026 10:27

Why would someone randomly tell someone else they didn’t like them? That would be quite rude. ND or not, there’s no need to be deliberately rude to people

Teado · 19/10/2026 10:29

Why make a thing of telling someone you dislike them though? Just avoid them. If it’s a workplace, be cordial and professional. That’s the way I think.

Did you get tired of your other thread about how you’ve become right-wing now you’re rich?

Ok.

but that’s not how other people behave here.

so you can do that if you want but other people won’t

She just keeps starting more of them on the same theme.

If it helps, OP, based on what and how you post, I don't think I'd like you in real life.

Notgrowing · 19/10/2026 10:38

Not you again.

Your many recent threads suggest you’ve got no concept of being tactful and having good manners. These are the reasons people don’t just openly announce that they hate you. If you try being tactful and using your manners, you might find people warm to you a bit more.

WHY AHTE ME?

The answer is this: if they don't want to hang around with you, decline your invites, don't answer messages, don't prolong a conversation - they ARE telling you that they don't like you. That's it, simple!

However, if they do these things, then you're likely fine. There's also a balance, because too much interaction might make them not like you. If you're not sure, then let them instigate.

TrappedByThisDesk · 19/10/2026 11:15

The trick is to not care whether people like you or not.

It really is not your business whether people like you or dislike you or hate you.

YourWaryPlumBalonz · 19/10/2026 10:54

WHY AHTE ME?

No idea what that’s supposed to mean but if you’re asking why I hate you, I don’t. I don’t know you.

EmpressaurusKitty · 19/10/2026 12:13

Have you namechanged? Because you remind me very strongly of another poster.

vodkaredbullgirl · 19/10/2026 12:15

Why are you bothered? I thought you didn’t care what people thought of you
