Heavy (but not hot!) duvets recs

I'm not actually cold at night with my 4.5tog duvet BUT I want something heavier and cosier - is the only answer a down duvet? My son has a wool one and I don't like that at all. My current one is M&S, I think some sort of hollowfibre filling - it's soft but quite light, and I've stayed in some Airbnbs recently with lovely cosy heavy duvets but not been too hot. Can anyone advise/recommend please?

Any type of natural filling is going to be heavier but not necessarily hotter. I have one with wool filling that is lovely and weighty but not sweaty. I bought it from soak and sleep back when it was dapw so a good ten years ago and still I love it.

I also have silk pillows from there which are very heavy so I suspect would be a great duvet but £££. I have had feather and down which is weighty but seems unethical to me these days. They are all quite expensive though so I’d have a rummage round sales page and register for a code.

a decent heavy weight chenille blanket will add weight but not masses of warmth for that cosy sensation.

We have a wool one, DH prefers a heavy duvet, me not so much when changing the cover!

If you’ve slept under duvets you like at Airbnbs why don’t you ask them what they provide?

Wool ones are too thin when cool. I agree about liking a luxurious feeling one

I like thr Panda cloud ones

I like heavy duvets too. We bought an expensive goose down duvet and it was just too light. I had to suffer it for years but replaced it recently. I bought a feather duvet, but not goose down, from M&S and it feels so luxurious and weighty.

I have gone over to wool too and have two now - a summer weight one and a thicker heavier winter one. Mine are from Baavet.

Do you know which one it is, please?

I'm starting to think that what I actually want is just a massive weighted blanket on top of my duvet 😁
