Something relatively cheap that has gave you SO much joy

I’ll go first….Two years ago I bought an electric blanket for around £150. Large, deluxe one. I honestly cannot explain how much happiness and joy this purchase has given me. I just love it so much. I think it was the best £150 I have ever spent. Couldn’t imagine life without it 😂.

What about you lot? What other joy am I missing out on in life?

Tesco Ecuador dark chocolate.

Spinning top. Nominally for the kids, but I find it very therapeutic.

Being on the top desk of the bus and having a nosy over garden walls.

Aww we’ve got an 18 year old that was free on pets4homes over 17 years ago. He’s given us a lot of pleasure too!

A massive proper towelling dressing gown that I put on straight after showering. No more fannying around with towels falling off.

Singing in harmony at choir gives me absolute and pure joy. I literally can't explain what it does to me.

Similarly, listening to live music gives me incredible joy *though it's not always cheap, sadly 😢

I would say my cats, but none of them have been cheap! Worth every penny spent on them!

A few years ago M & S did these really weighty thermal long sleeve tops. They came in loads of colours, I bought 9! They are going to last years. They feel amazing on, so cosy in winter. They look great under jumpers and on their own. I love them. They were about £15 each from memory. Money well spent.

I'd say my pets, but none of them were cheap 😂.

I love trinkety things which I can look at. Personalised mugs, candles, even a little Smurfs set from the 80s. My old "Game and Watch" Nintendo Donkey Kong game from 1983. I have it displayed in my bedroom and could just stare at it for hours.

£20 bathroom mirror it’s massive and I absolutely love it. Money well spent. I was going to say my dog but he wasn’t cheap but he’s worth his weight in gold.

My cats. Both from the RSPCA. Joy beyond measure.

DH. He was a lonely sad and profoundly hurt person in the middle of a very expensve divorce when I met him. He cost me nothing but has given me nothing but joy and happiness for 24 years. (Well, interspersed with some irritations).

One of my cats is currently playing with my toes. I am quite blessed.

A candle lamp - lovely way to light the room and enjoy my scented candles or wax melts

My cat - he was a stray who just turned up and wouldn't leave - now he leads a life of luxury and is currently sleeping in front of the woodburner purring so loudly I can hear him in the next room.

Hair Syrup - not an advert, but it is wonderful stuff, my hair has never looked so good.

Good dark chocolate - currently enjoying Montezuma's

Good coffee beans
