I was watching some US reaction videos to UK adverts and how powerful they are.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association has done another powerful one
It features Jaki Jackson, a singer and performer from Brighton who is living with motor neurone disease. At the start, you can see her performances in Oliver.
It shows how MND has gradually taken away the things she loves and abilities so many of us take for granted, including singing, speaking and swallowing.
Knowing it’s her own story makes it incredibly powerful. I found it heartbreaking — it brings home that behind every diagnosis is a person with a whole life, passions and relationships.
The UK can certainly do some very powerful adverts
