stayed up late to watch a film, regret it now

I can’t wake up at all now, two young kids so still up quite early and needing attention.

I love them to bits obviously but man I wish I could fob them off onto someone else for a few hours so I could go back to bed for a bit!

I hear you! I’m not an early morning person but my son is! If he made it to 6am it was a good day! My DH was an early riser but would go off to the gym first thing (can’t complain he’d come back grab the kids and take them to the pool for a couple hours). And times he didn’t he’d take them down for breakfast but I’d have been woken up anyway.
So sadly it’s the way it is til they are old enough to fend for themselves for a couple hours. And no my son never went through that teenage phase of sleeping til noon. He’s 23 now and still gets up early and usually goes for a run before work (and then plays football or rugby or kickboxing after). My DD can sleep ten hours easily!
