Who just loves cheesey beanos with red onion and black pepper? Ultimate comfort food 🥰😋.

I haven't heard anyone use that phrase since my goody goody housemate from uni 30 years ago. I am triggered 😆

Hahahaha...i can assure you im no goody,goody. It was washed down with a lovely apple and berry gin 🤣 bloody guid it was too 😋.

How do you make it then? Stir grated cheese in and top with the onions? My DH would love that.

Sorry, I’m honestly not being sarcastic. It’s beans, right? Baked beans with cheese? Never heard of that phrase. And the onion - raw? Pickled? Caramelised?

I make the toast 2 slices, keep one whole, butter it and the other but cut that one into 2 triangles, top the whole one with the beans, add sliced red onion then grated Galloway or Orkney cheddar and loads of pepper 😋.

🤭 you sure your not being sarcastic? Take the poker out your arse and enjoy a wee cooncil cheesey beanos. White bread toasted (lurpak cos im not that minky) beans, finely chopped red onion (raw) grated cheese (Galloway or Orkney will suffice) black pepper. 😋

What do you do with the other piece of bread that you’ve cut into triangles?

Scoop the goodness up into the buttery toast 😋.

🤣🤣🤣 tell him to get the onion on next time he fancies it. Im not cooncil either, I didnt get to try this till I was in my 20s and not living at home, or box cheesey pasta, absolutely love that for a trampy indulgence...i was seriously pissed off at my mum for not bringing it into my life when I was growing up. Theres only so much mince n tatties one can eat 🤣🤣🤣.

My housemate at uni called them chez bez tez and it stuck, now me and DH call it that (or just bez tez if we're being healthy)

Never heard them called beanos and never heard of putting raw red onion on them either! Love cheesy beans whatever you call them, but no no no to raw onion - don’t like it on anything ever! If you did though I imagine it’d be good on beans. I just always go for marmite.

A cheesy beano in my house was a slice of toast topped with beans, then topped with cheese and put under the grill till the cheese melted.

but they are cannelloni beans with spinach and other ingredients topped with cheddar cheese and mozzarella

normal tinned baked beans, yes i do love a bit of grated cheddar on them
