No record of my (high value) Amazon return so far

Hi there
I ordered a Kindle 3 weeks ago which would never switch on so was faulty. Amazon said they would send me a replacement the next day and for me to return the other.

I sent the broken one back via Evri. I just went onto my Amazon account to look when some presents I ordered are arriving and on the 'orders' page is just says that they are waiting for me to return the kindle. There is no record of me returning it via an Evri shop which there normally would be when I have returned things before.

I also checked and didn't get an email from Evri confirming my return.

I am a bit worried incase I am charged for both now if/when they realise the return didn't arrive. I haven't been chased for it...yet.

I have been down to the Evri shop I returned it to (a local shop) and they couldn't find the parcel in there.

What should I do? (If anything)

Usually it’s the Amazon drivers that pick them up. When I do a return, I get the refund about 5 minutes after dropping off as they have received the scan

No this return was done via an Evri shop (I took it in and they print the return label). That is how I always do them

There was no refund as I was sent a replacement (which thankfully works!)

Did the evri shop not give you proof of postage?

They’ll never charge you, they’ll just write it off

ThatRedFish · 17/10/2026 16:22

When did you drop it off?
Did you see them add the return label?

That’s not true. I forgot to send back an item which they had already replaced. They charged me. It was only £6 so all good and my fault.

I would let Amazon Customer Service know - they’re pretty helpful

What's the issue if they got the broken one, you got new one and just been charged for one so all good? Btw my dh got me a kindle a few weeks back for me and i hope your enjoying yours as I adore mine :)
