Should I go to town today or wait until tomorrow?

Hello

I got flu and covid vaccine yesterday. This is the first year in a few years where I didn't get covid and I was able to get the vaccine.

Anyways I am thinking about going into town soon but I don't drive and I will have to use public transport.

I am not usually afraid of public transport but I am a little bit anxious right now about becoming exposed to a dose.

I am not afraid of covid but I hate being sick and I can't afford to get sick right now either.

I am thinking should I leave it maybe a day to try and let the vaccine take hold and give me some immunity perhaps.

Or will I wear a mask on public transport today. I had a craving for sushi for a few weeks and every aspect of my life has denied me a chance to get sushi. Until today. I can't get sushi locally. Just in the city.

Just wear a mask if you’re worried.

It takes longer than a couple of days to build immunity, more like a couple of weeks. If you want to go and are worried just wear a mask.

A few weeks is crazy. That was it in the early days. I am not an infectious disease professional or anything near it but surely after multiple infections and multiple vaccines in the earlier years, could the process of immunity from vaccine be quicker now?

I can't deny this craving any more. I will wear a mask on public transport.

No. It’s 10 to 14 days for full coverage. How many times you’ve had it is irrelevant.
