Electric toothbrush recommendations

I’m looking for a reasonably priced electric toothbrush. Maybe up to £40?

I’ve seen the oral b io2 and the vitality pro, but also see some that are sonic and wondered about them?

Thanks!

Philips Sonicare 1100 Series, seems like the best overall cleaning worth £28.99.
it has got soft flexi bristles, its gentle and effective.
Its really good, worthwhile.

I have both.

I have arthritis in my hands and I struggle to brush my back teeth. I use an oral B with a smaller brush to get to them. Than I swap to the normal head and I finish off with the sonic.

The oral B you basically hold on your teeth and let it do the work, the sonic needs moving.

Just to confuse things I saw an ad for 'Suri' the other day.

The Oral B io2 was on sale in Tesco for £25 with Clubcard. I've got an Oral B vitality that I've had for about 3 years and it's pretty good although I think the battery is in decline now. It used to run for a good 10 days on a single charge.

My tip would be if you can find one that comes with a travel case, buy it, because I wish I had one, it's awkward to pack without one. I will be looking for one with a travel case when I replace mine.

I've also tried the generic unbranded heads with it, and they're not as good as the Oral B ones, they don't last or oscillate as well so worth paying for branded ones.

They all do much the same thing - the main choice to make is whether you want a round brush or a long brush. The more expensive ones come with apps and things to track your brushing which I think is a waste of money, personally.

I used to have an oral b that lasted years but then finally died recently. I had been getting really annoyed with how the toothbrush heads have little holes in though which, it turns out, get easily mouldy even if you try to prevent it.

i now have an ordo brush (which is similar to the sonicare style) and I really like it. Battery lasts weeks! And I went to the dentist recently and she said I was cleaning well, so I think it must be working fine!

it’s also pretty too, I got it in purple 😁

I bought a cheap sonic toothbrush a few weeks ago. I expect its not representative of good ones... but I can't use it as it tickles my lips too much. I find it unbearable!
