Japanese head spa? Anyone tried one?

Has anyone tried Japanese head spa and would you recommend it for relaxation and for trying to relax and unwind?

I am very stressed lately. My work is very demanding and I live with a parent that is showing issues and I suspect cognitive decline but doctors are scumbags who won't help with a diagnosis until there's a crisis with her. This isn't just one or two things that emerged in a few weeks it months. I ahev five years of observations and experiencing some problematic behaviours.

I know a Japanese head spa won't get rid of my problems but wondering will it help. There is a salon in my city with some slots for Saturday and I am really tempted.

I haven't but would love to have one. I love head massage especially Indian head massage and although this looks gentler I think I would love it

I am due for a stressful week next week in work and I am not looking forward to it and I don't kniw if I should try and treat myself before the intensity of it all.

I’ve had one. I enjoyed it but parts of it are a bit weird if I’m being honest. I couldn’t fully relax because I kept getting surprised by the sounds and sensations I experienced. Now I’ve had one, I would do it again if it wasn’t so expensive! TBH, I found it more relaxing having a full pedicure a couple of weeks ago where I was in a really nice space, relaxing music, nice smelling candle and a therapist that didn’t talk incessantly! I had a lovely coffee, read some of my book on my phone and came out with soft feet and freshly painted nails.

I’m dying to try one, I love having my head touched and it just looks so relaxing.

I had one, I didn't love it, kept feeling like water was going to go all over my face. Much prefer a massage, hope you find what's right for you! 😊

I had one as well and really wasn't particularly impressed. It was like a really drawn out hair wash with loads of water basically whooshing around for the whole session. Much prefer a massage tbh. Sorry 😞

Thank you for all of your replies and honest reviews. I live getting my scrap massaged at the basin from my hairdresser. Love it, love it, love it. But I will tske your honest replies and I don't think I will book one. I might another time but not right now when my goal is needed relaxation. Looking at videos online and I think many of you are right. I might find the water jet ticklish.

I will look for a head massage or facial instead.
