Should I get my hair done for an event

My partner invited me to an event in a few weeks. If will be somewhat formal but more casual formal. Anyways he asked me to be a plus one.

I usually do my own hair for events. Lately I am lovely the big bouncy blowdrys. I can't ever do that to my own hair.

I booked for a wash and blow dry for the morning of the event. But not a style. My hairdresser has a set menu and there's no options for a style or updo. I don't k ow if I should continue with the wash and blow dry or wash my hair myself at home and maybe by a set of big rollers to wear for the day instead.

What do you think?

If you are getting a blow-dry already why not just ask for one with bounce and volume?

I am sure your hairdresser will give you a bit of a bounce if you say you are going out.

Just discuss with your hairdresser what you want and have the appointment as a treat! In the vast majority of cases a professional blow dry always looks better.

Yeah just ask your hairdresser, I regularly go for a wash and bouncy blow dry as he can do it much better than me ..obviously

I would just tell hairdresser to do a big bounce then I would bundle my hair up till the event to keep the shape

@Crocja I pay no more for a wash and blow dry where the hairdresser puts big rollers in to give it some volume than one where she doesn't. I don't think it counts as a "style " in the sense of a complicated hairstyle. I'd just phone and check and let her know you want a bouncy style whether with rollers or a very big brush. This seems to be blow-dry 101 to me. I do agree , if I had a superpower it would be being able to properly blow-dry my own hair.
