Can I take jewellery making stuff in hand luggage on a plane?

I'm flying tomorrow and rarely ever get flights any more. I have recently got into jewellery making as a way of off-setting stress.

I'm only taking hand luggage tomorrow but just realised I probably won't be able to take my stuff with me. I read that sewing needles are ok and they are in a plastic tube, but there is a little pair of sewing 'shears' in my kit. Would these be ok?
To add to it I need to take my vial of B12 and insulin needles and can't get hold of. GP to get a letter from there.

I'm only taking a small bag, is it likely these will get confiscated?
I don't want them thinking I'm travelling all weaponed up but I want to take my sewing stuff and I need to take my B12.

You just need to read the website and see what's allowed and what's not allowed. You can't plead your case- if they confiscate it they confiscate it and that's it. With prescription medication you just need to have them in the box with the label or have a copy of the prescription.

If your items are not allowed and you really can't live without them I'd pay for a hold bag.

It is relevant between which two countries do you fly and how does your equiment looklike.

Jewelerly making - measure your scissors from the joint to the very top. The length will decide.

B12 - if pills form in original packaging, it should be absolutely ok
