The ghost of a chance…

Alright, I'll start. 4 nights ago around 3 am I got up to use the loo as I'd had a massive amount of water before bed. I was half asleep and casually glanced outside the window when walking to the toilet. I could have sworn I saw a man under the street light in a mask staring at our house and specifically at the window I was looking out of. I vividly remember doing a double take and he was still there but I was also barely awake. I went to the bathroom and looked again afterwards and there was nobody there. Then about 15 mins later my dog started barking a lot, we always pay attention to her barking at night bc she is quite good and sleeps through the night, she only ever barks if there is a reason to. I came down to settle her and the motion sensor light in the back garden was on which was odd bc it usually doesn't get triggered by animals and needs something taller. I looked through the windows and saw nothing but had the weird sensation I was being watched. I checked the locks on the doors and kinda brushed it off but struggled getting back to sleep. Nothing else happened the rest of the night and when I got up and told my husband, it just sounded too absurd to be real so I brushed it off as my imagination.

Anyway, I haven't seen anybody since but for the last 3 nights I have had alerts from the Google camera inside the kitchen around 3 am each night, and it's due to the light coming on in the garden. The dog hasn't reacted at all, all gates are locked and it doesn't show anybody walking around in the garden, just the motion sensor light coming on. Is someone fucking with me for halloween or did I imagine the man while the light can be easily explained away by a neighbour's cat?

Woah Abra that’s terrifying! I think id log that with the local police 😳

What can I say though? 10 days before Halloween and I think I saw someone in a mask?
