I've been going through a restructure process for 10 months and have been at risk of redundancy for 5 months. The whole process has involved thousands of staff. We have been told that we might actually hear something this week and I'm starting to spiral. I've actually been ok through most of this, I work in a wonderful team and we have supported each other. But something about knowing that things are actually happening is making me feel really unsettled.

Can you tell me something perfectly normal that happened to you today?

I’ve just cooked dinner for my DS who is at the gym. I was sitting in the garden about an hour ago thinking how mild it was.

Is there a cosy corner you can find at home or a food or drink treat you can grab to help take you mind of things? I make camomile tea when I’m struggling.

If it’s any consolation, I too am going through loads of work-related crap!
but to answer your request, I’ve just spent ages battling with the dreaded arbir to try and book a slot for my son’s parents’ evening! Honestly hacking into the pentagon is probably easier!
Hope things go ok this week OP & whatever news you receive is tolerable.

I sat at the kitchen counter with the laptop and restructured the mortgage. I stopped for crumpets and coffee. Job done.

I sat crocheting worry worms to give away whilst waiting for my dentist appointment. Gave a fair few away to various staff - supposedly for their children, but I’m guessing they will appear on hand bags etc!

I went to work for a short shift only to find that there were five other staff in and they didn't need me, so I did training for two hours and then went shopping!

I bought two new pairs of jeans, both really nice and comfortable, good shapes, and then I walked back to my car and came home early.

Good luck OP xxx hoping the news will be OK
