Why does crap happen monday morning

Coffee maker decided to send my coffee to the drip tray this morning. I have spent the last 2 hours being an amateur mechanic trying to fix it. Now have to suffer through meetings with no coffee. I mean why do this to me monday morning. Its the one day I need to keep blood caffeine above 80% to be able to function. Is it too much to ask that it could throw this strop Friday or saturday or even Sunday.
I have loved it as my third child and cared for it and followed all its instructions and this is how it repays me. Seriously.

My deepest condolences. The coffee machine is demonstrating weaponised incompetence of the highest order. Obviously, you must LTB!

Can you make press coffee instead? Nobody should go without, and these are desperate times.

Yep. Locked myself out this morning. I realised as soon as i shut the door. 😩

Got all the way into town and realised I had forgotten my pass. I am now dependent on colleagues to let me in and out of the building as you cant get anywhere without a pass. I did manage to get coffee on the way in though

Thanks for the solidarity and comiserations to those who havent had the best start. Found a jar of kenco so its better than nothing.
Its going to be one of those days as logged in and saw my US colleague arranged a call from 4 to 6.30 next FRIDAY. Who does that.

I see your coffee and I raise you vomit all over the duvet, nosebleeds, and emergency work emails, all before 8.30. Sympathies, though - at least my coffee machine works.

PS my initial post was semi humorous and yes I always try to fix whats gone wrong rather than go straight to giving up.

If I was a coffee drinker I'd have a cup of instant first THEN try and sort the machine obviously. I don't function without tea so I can't imagine it is much difference for the coffee drinkers.

And yeah not a great day. Relative of my partners on end of life care so possibility may have to rearrange all his travel plans as we meant to be going away in a few weeks
