Single parent holiday and evenings

I'm off to Spain for a 5 nights with DC9 for half term. We've travelled abroad and in the UK before and I will admit I'm a little nervous despite being a single parent for going on 6 years now. Any useful tips for the trip would be welcome, as well as ideas on how I can make the most of my evening once DC has gone to sleep. I'll bring a good book and ipad but want to avoid the lonely feelings in the evening.

Can anyone relate? How have you made the most of holidays and being away as a single parent?

Won’t you both just stay up together and go to bed at the same time ? Are you going to a hotel with entertainment?

Yes we will stay up late together but I tend to stay up very late and need to wind down after hours.

The hotel has entertainment yes which we may check out.

I took my 2 abroad last year and we made friends with 2 other single mums and a few families.. we had a great time watching the entertainment! Our balcony overlooked the entertainment too so if one of the kids wanted to go to bed me and the other had a balcony party.

I would do what you do at home in the evenings - long bath. Doom scroll. Watch something. Read book. Life admin. Text friends. Etc
