Are you going away at half term?

I've just booked a week away in Devon, nothing fancy, but I'm quite excited!

It's just a nice, well-equipped caravan on a small site near Dartmoor. It's just me, my dh, and my teen ds with additional needs. We enjoy a quiet break; we'll explore the area by day and watch movies, do jigsaws, and read in the evenings. I love cooking, so we will enjoy some nice meals!

I booked via Hoseasons and used the 5% discount from Mumsnet; a week away is costing us £245, which feels like a real bargain. I've been looking for something for weeks and the prices are crazy!

That sounds nice, have you been to the area before? It's it a long drive? I can imagine it being relaxing family time with his planning.

We usually go away and do something similar but feel we're only just back from our holiday right at the end of summer so no desire to go anywhere. Might do a day trip if the weather is nice, somewhere like York or Durham.

@BreezyClouds We know the area well, as DH had family connections there until his mid-20s. It's under 3 hours from home, so not too far.

@Achangetoplan1 Lovely! Morocco is on my list! Beyond my budget for half term but maybe next year!
