Why is the hospital calling

I posted in Cancer this morning but no replies.

I have pre cancer cells in my womb. I had a coil fitted two years ago and regular hysteroscopies . The last two times, they have not been able to get a big enough sample. I have had no other symptoms since the coil was fitted.

I had another hysteroscopy exactly three weeks ago. This morning, out of the blue, I have had a text to say a clinician will phone me tomorrow and to be in a quiet place to take the call

This can only be bad news can't it or a precursor to bad news. Has anyone else had this?

Yes I had this and it was a call to say that as samples taken locally weren't sufficient to test properly I needed a more consultant based exploration and sample and I wasn't to worry. Of course I worried. Of course there was nothing to worry about. Thankfully.

Oh don’t worry. Friend had one. It was just to say that results inconclusive and to come back

Thank you for this @Missingducks

It is a consultant who does my hysteroscopy but yes, maybe they still didn't get enough and maybe want to do it under GA. I can't help thinking though that they are going to say that as it is a year since they managed to get a testable sample, they now have one and it's been growing all this time.

Thank you for replying-it's kind of you.
