Looking for super comfy smartish trousers for autistic 14 y.o.

We are going to a funeral later in the month and I need some super comfy trousers for DS age 14.

He's autistic and for the last several years has only worn Next or F&F jogging bottoms and jersey shorts. So probably some elasticated waist trousers would be best. They don't need to be super smart, just smarter than jogging bottoms.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

School trousers? Other than that I’m not sure as my DS will only wear soft joggers that have to feel acceptable to him.

Have you asked him?

You can get school trousers with elasticated waists.

Uniqlo have joggers with a seam down the front and a stetchy waist. They are so smart that I now wear them to work when I’d actually bought them to lounge about in. They are in the women’s section but I think would fit the bill.

I can’t seem to share the link but they are called Sweat Straight Trousers.

Uniqlo definitely have some that would work. DS2 is the same but will willingly wear these. Weirdly, I also bought a good pair from the middle of Lidl a couple of weeks ago. Stretchy thick cotton with an elasticated waist.

M&S chinos, they have a little give and an elastic waist. Or they do a scuba jogger which is a bit smarter.

Another vote for the Uniqlo black joggers with seam down the front. Very soft and comfy, but cut like trousers and weight of material means they hold shape

I mean he could wear a new pair of joggers but straight leg so could pass as a pair of trouser.

However, I mean he will be upset due to the event so I’d just let him wear his normal joggers and not have to feel uncomfortable in some thing he hates ?!?!?
