How do you spend yours?

I treat myself to something I wouldn't normally buy when I'm doing my shop in Sainsbury's- often a plant or some more luxury food item, or perhaps some clothes item from.Tu.
I used to save them up to take off my Christmas food shop but I don't bother doing that now.

Freshrain · 09/10/2026 21:45

I tend to use them when I want something from Argos.
It feels like it is free.

Petrol. Boring!

pinkdyno · 09/10/2026 21:48

I save them all year, don’t pay much attention and use them for Christmas food shop. Always o much to buy then anyway it’s great to have that one paid for.

Like PP I usually save them for my Christmas shop.

Pack of water bombs during the heatwave.
Filled up and chucked one everyday at my husband from upstairs window when he was sat in the garden. I had him convinced it was from a passing plane until day 8 when he finally twigged

Just converted a backlog of nectar points into Avios (air miles) points today as there’s a 20% boost in October - we are saving for a long distance flight next year to visit DS abroad, so planning ahead.

MiniMidiMaxi · 09/10/2026 22:45

Also - until very recently I didn’t realise that there were bonus point offers each week (did know about the nectar reduced price offers), from things we normally buy - that’s made a big difference in how quickly we have accumulated points.

When my points reach £30 I use them for petrol.
