Went for interview last week and haven’t heard back

I have worked there for ten years and it was a management position I went for. Interview was last week and they said they’d let us know this week ‘hopefully on Wednesday but realistically Thursday’.
office is closed now.
im guessing it’s a probably a no then, what do you think?
im off on holiday tomorrow and don’t want them calling me on holiday really.

If they have offered it to someone else that person hasn't replied
They're still making a decision.

When I was interviewing I generally accepted that if I hadn't heard by what I considered to be a reasonable timeframe (couple of weeks), then I'd been unsuccessful and got on with things.

Sorry, just seen it's internal. Any chance you could nudge HR before you go?

Yes I thought perhaps they need confirmation that the person ir was offered to was going to take it before they let other candidates know. Not off sick I’m sure.

Yes I do think they should let me know as it’s internal. They also know I’m on holiday tomorrow

My work can sometimes take longer if 2 people are equal on points and then HR have to get involved as independent reviewers.

Still not heard back. They said they’d let us know last week
