Dd suddenly upset at nursery?

Dd is two and has just started nursery this September. At the settling sessions and the first three to four ish weeks she was so happy, literally didnt cry at all. This week however shes been crying a lot at drop off. I know im probably overthinking it a bit as this crying and clinginess has coincided with her getting over the last of a cold and being chronically constipated, but i feel so worried that shes suddenly become like this.

Pay no attention, it is entirely normal. If she subconsciously picks up on your worries it will make matters worse.

As long as nursery says she soon stops crying and settles down to play once you've gone, there are no issues. If they are concerned about her behaviour, they will tell you.

Thanks, yesterday they said she was a bit unsettled in the morninh but was happy in the afternoon. It just breaks my heart when she starts crying when she sees nursery and her trying to reaching when im leaving💔💔. The main thing im worried about is that she wasbt like this before?

Often its not the setting that causes the problem but what the chid is leaving behind....home mum etc. after about 3 week's is classic. Try not to worry it should pass

This is normal, or it was as far as both of my two were concerned. They both loved their settling in sessions and bounced in on the first days without a second glance at me. At about wk3/4 reality hit and there was some separation upset/anxiety. We continued with same routine, handed over to keyworker and did a quick exit no matter how hard. (You can always call in an hour or so to check they've settled). It was a phase that passed.

Its very common when the novelty wears off. They realise its a long time set up. It will change back again. Keep drop offs short it will help

Completely normal. She’s probably absolutely fine after she’s in there and playing
