Day 1 of HRT patch, feel horrendous

Hi I am lying in bed wondering if I should rip it off. It’s a 7 day patch, put it on at 10am this morning and now at 1am I feel awful, headache, what started as light nausea becoming stronger in waves, cramps in intestines ( I think, there location hard to pin down) anxiety, palpitations. Is this normal, can I just pull it off? I am 55 in menopause for a couple of years. Help!

Of course you can take it off, that's the joy of patches

Is it definitely the HRT? Nothing else possible?

I've not heard of a 7 day patch but it makes sense that it might be stronger - mine are 3/4 days.

You should probably get checked out for the palpitations though. What if you take the patch off and it doesn't help? You'll have spent some hours waiting before seeking medical advice

I've got patches but not started yet. This thread isn't making me want to use them!

HRT patches massively help with the hot feelings and sweating, I get bad, pounding headaches though and often feel out of it and a bit drunk but could be a coincidence.

Hello I thought I'd update, I'm now on my second week and it is going MUCH better, the awful feeling I had when I wrote the post only lasted a few hours and the next day I was fine. I am starting to feel the wonderful benefits of them already, No regrets.
@ZenNudist do* *try your patches, they are so worth it, even after a week.
@Featherhorn they are called Femseven in UK ( I'm not in UK)

I was going to say keep going. I started the progesterone only pill which which is only a stopgap for me as I’m going to have gynae surgery. The first two days were absolutely awful. I’m a week in and feel fine now.
