Can I recommend ‘John, Southport, Eighty Years and Me. A well written book which addresses the loss of the three little girls in Southport in 2024 and a mother’s loss of her son in World War Two. The novel maps social change, the role of women and the courage mothers demonstrate in times of adversity.
