Suddenly have started being in a lot of pain and unwell during ovulation - worried

I'm in my late 20s and have regular cycles and no chance of pregnancy. For the past few months, I've been feeling really unwell during ovulation. I get gnawing pain in my back up near my ribs and in my lower stomach. My uterus feels achy and sore. I get really nauseous and have to will myself not to be sick. I've had to take time off work and cancel plans because of it. It only lasts 1-3 days and then the rest of the month I'm fine.

I've heard ovulation can get more intense at around 30 years old so I'm not sure if it's that or something more sinister. I have requested a GP appointment and I'm waiting to hear back.

Has anyone had similar? I'm quite worried and anxious about it.

I had pain and spotting then with fibroids, but there are so many things it could be and they'll need to examine you and do tests to know. It's good you have an appointment. Maybe take notes of exact dates and symptoms to show them.
