What "out of season" things to buy now when it gets discounted?

[singthing]

I am after one of those outdoor storage units, plus I may go wild and get a new garden umbrella while I'm at it.

What other stuff is worth shopping for as the seasons change and shops start marking down their summer stock?
(or what will you buy as Spring approaches next year?)

I saw that Icey Tek had some good discounts on coolers the other week. Alas I bought ours at peak season 😂

But yeah, camping or BBQ gear.

If I didn't already have air con units, I would be getting some.

ooh, my brother was talking about his camping stuff the other day, I will mention this to him thanks!

We'll be securing a couple of decent fans to stash. They're not really expensive and after this last summer might just come in handy.

Garden furniture.

And I don’t know whether they’ll actually be discounted but DD’s 3 x 2m above ground pool has finally had it - after 7 summers and multi-hordes of kids! - so we’ll certainly be ordering a replacement well before next summer.

I just bought paddle boards from Decathlon as Christmas presents for my teens. Couldn't get them at all in the height of summer.

I’m looking for garden furniture too if anyone has seen any bargains… the crappy temporary stuff we panic bought during lockdown fell apart last year and it’s so expensive to buy good quality stuff.

Weirdly, I just bought a winter coat very discounted. Apparently they were getting rid of last year’s stock before the new coats arrive.

Garden shrubs and perennials. They will be looking slightly tatty by now, but autumn is the right time for planting out in the garden.

I’m looking for a paddle board for DD!

I bought 500 bulbs reduced from £100 to less than a tenner on Sutton's seeds

Check out Charles Taylor. I have multiple items from them and it is very well priced and solid wood furniture. They deliver it and set it all up for you as well!

They always have sales too so never pay full price!

I love a plant hospital at garden centres! Might pop along this weekend and see what they have!

I call it 'Search And Rescue' 😂

We got our BBQ in September one year, at a good discount - it was already quite well used before Easter the following year.

Next has lots of reduced bikinis on its website.
