Good morning everyone, dh and I had a lovely lie in and just got up and made porridge for the kids. I’m having a coffee whilst prepping the beef brisket in the slow cooker for a roast later. Whilst that’s cooking we’re going on a room on the broom Forrest walk… what’s everyone else up to? Sundays is my favourite day by far

Bit of a lie in. Just walked the dog. DH out meeting a friend for coffee. About to have some croissants. Kids in their rooms. Planning to jetwash the patio and cut the grass, listen to podcasts and do a load of washing and ironing tonight.

Had breakfast, spoken to DB in Australia (it was his birthday last week), doing some admin for the freehold company of our flats.

Husband is a vicar, so it's a (busy) work day today!

I think my dh has made some mumbling about cutting our grass today- I bet he doesn’t 🤣

Looking at my neighbours lawn, it's so sparse after the summer there's barely anything to cut.

Work .. I hate working Sundays but glad of it today to get me out if this bloody house with the fucking idiots in it
Cant wait for the peace and have a proper conversation with someone that listens , dont talk over me or doesn't try shout me down and doesn't tell me to fuck off everytime a conversation doesn't go his way

I agree OP, I love our Sundays. Kids (5 and 18m) have been up since the crack of dawn so it's been a morning of playing with train tracks, magnatiles and activity books, and a fair chunk of tv so far. Going to our local national trust place in a bit for a picnic and their Halloween trail followed by toad in the hole for dinner 🥰

DH made me a surprise breakfast in bed, it’s not even my birthday!. Getting the DC ready for swimming now and then a Sunday roast I think.
