Present ideas for nearly 5 year old with development delay?

DS is 5 in a little under 3 weeks and I'm not sure what to get him

He has GDD and possible ASD and a speech delay, he can only say one word and I don’t think he understands a concept of it being his birthday (but he enjoys opening presents)

He loves cars, buses and trains and just anything with wheels. He likes things like shape sorters, bubbles and water play and noisy farm animal books and he loves listening to nursery rhymes.

He’s not really interested in lego but we do have mega blocks already which he doesn’t really bother with. For Christmas he got a big toy garage with cars, a bubble machine, a fisher price musical toy and some wooden puzzles.

I’m trying to not get him all the same repetitive presents but I don’t want to spend money on things he won’t play with although he does have siblings that will likely play with it either now or eventually so it won’t be a waste but it’s his day so I do want to get him things he likes aswell of course

Any ideas will be appreciated

Would he like a brio train kit or similar?

I've just bought this wooden container ship set for a toddler - I think it might fit the brief, is a bit different and as its from Barnardos is also supporting a charity.

Gears and cogs are good and might get him more interested in construction

He might enjoy a small brio train set and it will last for a long time and can be added to. A good quality car mat to push cars around. Plus you can never have too many toy cars (well according to my kids) and they don't take up too much room.

Wooden train sets are a big hit here. Brio is expensive. We have a few sets from lidl which we got to see if he liked it. They are good quality and brio compatible, and we've added brio and hape stuff. Lidl have their wooden toy sale next week I think?

Our toddler loves his yoto player. There are loads of music cards and the yoto radio station is really good.
