Can you still buy kindle books on Amazon, as it doesn’t mention it when I scroll through some non fiction books. I like to read them on the kindle app on my iPad.

It used to give you the option to purchase either the paperback option or the kindle option, but there’s no mention of a Kindle option.

You can’t buy them on the Amazon app, are you using that? Otherwise you can buy them as normal via the browser.

Are you using the Amazon app? You can’t buy Kindle books on it, you need to go to the actual website.

I can buy things from my kindle to my kindle but I can only download samples from the app on my phone to my kindle, I can’t purchase them or see a kindle price unless I’m actually using my kindle to browse. So I tend to download samples of things I want to read and then when I’ve got to the end of the sample on my kindle it gives me the option to purchase.

On the website, try choosing "Kindle books" in the drop down menu, then search.

Not all books are published on Kindle, it is less common in the non fiction market, especially textbooks.

If you can switch your Kindle to US you do often find that more are available on the amazon US store which are not available on the amazon UK store. You will need a credit card to attach to the account.

I can see the Kindle edition option on the Amazon app on my iPhone, but it says 'this app does not support purchasing of this content' so I have to go to the website to buy.

But of course not every book is available in a Kindle edition.

Oh and if it is textbooks you are after in ebook format, try looking on the publisher's website, often you can buy direct from there but it is a more universal ebook format, not amazon-exclusive. They do tend to be expensive. This is probably because textbooks are frequently pirated, which is information you can do whatever you like with.

Textbooks - often not

Otherwise, you need to buy via the Amazon website, you can buy on the Amazon app or the Kindle app.

Thank you!!!

It was a cookery book I wanted and the soft back version was about £14. However, I managed to go to the ordinary Amazon website and purchase the kindle version for only £2. Happy Days!
