I posted the attached thread last week. Thank you so much for the replies.

My question now is, who can I talk to, who can help? I don't think I would be eligible for social work support as I know they are run off their feet with mandatory case work. I don't think there is anyone at the school, I don't think there is much point in telling a GP. I don't know where to go with all this stress for help.

My son is still pressuring me to get rid of the dog, and tells me everyday that I'm useless or stupid or a bad Mother. Today he said he's never had a childhood. I have no doubt in my mind that things were difficult at times, I have never had any consistent support ever and have been largely isolated. But i love my son, I kept him safe, walked 3 miles to get him to a good nursery, moved to get him to a good primary and lived in that village for 9 years, kept him at the same high-school through homelessness, we were constantly out and about together. But that doesn't matter, he genuinely believes I'm a bad mum and thats what matters, and I want to fix that. I'm scared he will stop loving me. I will move again for him as he is so unhappy. I offered to move us to a 2 bed 2 bath place as I am struggling to find any 3 bed houses or flats, I said I could buy a really good sofa bed for myself. That I'd rather try and not go to the top of my budget for a house I dont particularly want, I'd rather move to a flat next to the school that is easy to keep and doesn't need work, that in a couple of years he might decide to go off to uni and he has his whole life ahead but that I'd be stuck with a house I don't want. He called me crazy and selfish.

I cant live under the constant pressure and criticising, my whole body is sore, my back is very painful and my chest is very often tight throughout the day. I feel like I'm not breathing properly. I am really trying to help us, DS1 thinks I've done nothing to move us. I am looking everyday, I have been improving the house and going to viewings. I just feel at breaking point. I'm sorry, the longer this goes on the more pathetic I feel.

My teenager is making me ill | Mumsnet

This is awful, being a good mum is so important to me and I have catastrophically failed. I am on my own with 2 DS, the eldest is 16, youngest is nea...

I'm very sorry, that sounds really tough. Please go and see your GP, they can refer or signpost you to local services and provide mental health support directly x

Thank you @mainecooney. I will try and call the GP tomorrow, you're right, but its so difficult to be seen, usually 3 to 4 week wait by a locum, then squeezing it into a 10 minute appointment. I also just feel it's my situation to fix, and I'm not sure what can be done, just feel like a burden.

I offered my son private therapy and he said its me who needs to speak to someone, which is true, but this is my own doing. I don't know, feeling rather hopeless. He said because I haven't gotten rid of the dog once he leaves he will never speak to me again. I Feel like I'm barely holding on, my self esteem at all time low.

Hi OP, have read your previous thread and it sounds like your son has significant mental health problems and this is not something you can tackle alone. His hatred of the dog and you are irrational and you are tying yourself in knots trying to accommodate him but it's not helping.

You need to call 111 and press 2 for immediate mental health support. Find a time when DS isn't around you and call them. They can signpost you to your local community mental health team for support for you and your son.

When you call the GP, ask for an emergency appointment that day. Call first thing, as soon as they open and keep ringing if it's engaged. You can't wait 3 to 4 weeks and they will have some emergency appointments available on the day.
