Dehumidifiers

Exciting topic of the day !

Can anyone give me any pointers as to what dehumidifiers they use?
It would mainly be used to dry washing when it can't be hung out.
Just two people.

I went on the Argos website (as I have loads of Nectar points to spend so though it might be a good place to effectively get myself a "free" one) expecting there to be about 4 for me to compare with each other and there are over 120 items.

What should I be looking for, please, to narrow it down a bit ?

I bought the Meaco ( can’t remember model number). Absolutely no regrets. I called their customer service number and they guided me through the decision making process as to which model suited my needs. Please note I didn’t buy from them directly. I found an offer on hotukdeals and bought it.

We’re contemplating Meaco as well. Always had delonghi before, which are also good. We use them for drying clothes as well.

They seem to be rated on size of house, rather than number of people.

Meaco ABC. Used in front of a radiator with the door closed overnight. Washing hung out in the evening is dry in the morning 👍

Have had a Meaco Arete One for several years. Worth the price. Would only get a Meaco now. Have even been eyeing up the new colour as I’m that sad.

We have a very good one from AO but I’ve never found it to be good at drying clothes. We do find it good for reducing condensation in the box room etc but if you’re looking to dry clothes you’d be better off buying a cheap condenser tumble dryer.

Ooh. Seems fairly unanimous so far.

thank you.

Any thoughts on whether the size / capacity is important ?
