Plumber call-out charge

Just a quick one - I need a plumber to come out and my usual guy is on holiday and has put me on to someone else. Plumber has messaged saying it will be an £80 call out fee which includes diagnosis only. Does that sound about right?

Yep - the plumber I use charges £96 for call out fee (being £80 plus VAT), and they’re very reliable and generally reasonably priced.

Plumbing or heating? That sounds right for plumbing (water only) but cheap for heating.

Water. Think it’s something to do with mixer tap. Boiler/heating all good and recently serviced.

Do it today. If he comes out on a weekend or out of hours it is likely to be significantly higher.

Pretty reasonable.
