Hi, could anyone recommend a good book on starting off on a veggie diet please?

My teenager has decided on going veggie (I'm happy to support) bus she is woefully struggling to get a balanced diet - she can be a picky eater sometimes. A book that explains nutrients and balance and gives recipes woukd be helpful.

Yes, I'm her mum and can and do guide, but you know kids - they know better - sometimes outside help and books really inspire!

Thanks. Oh, she's late teens/early adult if that makes a difference.

My DD went vegetarian a few years ago. Luckily she loves to cook and has developed a set of meals she’s happy with and gets ideas from instagram as well as recipe books we have at home.
The Leith’s vegetarian bible is huge and has the nutritional info but I’d probably start by suggesting she look at the NHS page as it succinctly covers the basics https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/eat-well/how-to-eat-a-balanced-diet/the-vegetarian-diet/

The vegetarian diet

Find out how to eat a balanced vegetarian diet with plenty of nutrients, including sources of iron, vitamin B12 and omega-3.

My daughter finds lots of recipes on the BBC food website - definitely worth a look
