Do you monitor your sleep?

I have a smartwatch but rarely monitor my sleep as I prefer to sleep without it. Sometimes I feel like all I do is dream all night and I wake up not feeling that well rested. I often have very vivid dreams. So I threw my watch on last night and I can see why I fell like I dream all night, as I'm regularly in REM sleep. I'm not sure how my sleep compares to others? Does everyone's sleep pattern look like this?

Yes but I’d only dream of that much sleep!

Not anymore, that's a crazy amount of sleep though!

I was still awake at 3am and alarm went off at 7am 😭.

To be fair it does look like you’re waking a lot. Do you remember waking so much? I have much less overall sleep but only tend to wake once or twice a night. The deep sleep looks similar though. What do you use to track?

I can definitely see why you feel that way! Mine generally has longer patches of being in REM sleep and light sleep - hours at a time. I don’t get very much deep sleep. It’s much less spiky than yours is although I do also take medication at night which has a slight sedative effect.

Do you snore OP? I'm wondering if you are waking yourself through the night- which you might not even be conscious of?

I've tried various watches which are supposed to monitor sleep. I use them for a VERY vague guide as never found them accurate. I've been on a morning walk for 30mins and the watch said I was sleeping, there are times I know I was awake in bed and I was apparently asleep. I'd like a more accurate one but not sure they exist?

I do feel I wake up a lot. Dh has never mentioned I snore though. I assume I remember my dreams so well because I often wake after. I know we cycle through sleep but i thought the cycles would be longer.

I have an honour smart band, it's a good few years old now though.

I can sleep for England. I need a good 8/9 hrs to function. I had a day off and a cheeky lie in today but usually have to function on less.
