Toddler rash, could be HFM- to send to childcare or not?

DC age 2 has a rash that started suddenly and covered their entire body which started Sunday. Yesterday it localised a bit more to thighs, knees, nappy area and hands. Lots of small pimple looking spots and then big red ones nappy area.

GP has said ‘inconclusive’ likely non specific viral rash and that they couldn’t say with confidence that it is HMFD.

DC is well in themselves, you’d not know, lots of energy and appetite. I think there is a reasonable chance it’s HFM from talking to friends whose children have had it down to the appearance of the rash.

Childminder has said they are happy to take if GP isn’t too worried and thinks it’s viral, and is aware that it’s more contagious before the rash appears anyway.

The rash does look quite angry but it isn’t bothering toddler at all

If they’re well in themselves then send to childminders. They can go with hfm anyway if they’re well and no temperature.

Well I don't accept children with HFM but if your CM does then I don't see the problem. Just be aware you might need to collect if things change.
