I may be being paranoid. But I had a delivery person knock on my door I get alot of parcels so didn't think much off it. He handed me the parcel took a pic and as he was leaving he said number 26 right? And i said no number 30. And handed the parcel back. Now I'm paranoid that he may not deliver it to 26 and it looks like i took the parcel in due to the photo. I didn't think to just keep it and deliver it to their door myself.

Expect another knock at the door.

MissMoneyFairy · 29/09/2026 10:24

Can you go round to 30 and ask them

Just knock at 26 and see if the parcel has been delivered there. If not explain what happened so they can contact the carrier.

Recently experienced similar. Next thing we know Tesco mobile are welcoming us for a phone delivered! Fortunately we had cctv footage of us handing the parcel back and the driver taking putting it in the van. It’s made us very wary of touching parcels.

Sorry, I should have said 26

Lomonald · 29/09/2026 13:53

Just knock at 26 and ask them, if they got their parcel.

TalkToTheHand123 · 29/09/2026 13:56

Maybe worth taking the number 26 off your door?

Elieza · 29/09/2026 15:24

sounds like a non event at the mo.
just go and ask them if they got it ok.

I have this issue with Amazon. They deliver to me and I send them to the right house but they can’t be arsed to redeliver it and neighbour doesn’t get it. So when they get stuff of mine put into their letterbox they pretend they haven’t got them despite the photo evidence 😑
We’re already on bad terms and this makes it worse.

Munchie1965 · 29/09/2026 15:33

I would not give it a second thought.

The courier will almost certainly have taken the parcel to the correct address and not have stolen it.

Either way there will be no come backs as its not worth it to the vendor or the courier company.

If there were any come backs the courier co /vendor company would in all likelihood believe you. The responsibility is on the courier to get it right.

Edited

Theses were some sort of storage containers. So hopefully nothing simlar. Both my neighbours have ring door/cctv I think one side may see who comes and gos from my house as well . Because when I walk out of my door their camera voices you are entering a high security area . So if need be hopefully they may have caught something.
