High up flight in Manhattan sky scraper, decorated with dark wood and white carpets
Sat in bed next to DD, in front of a massive TV
The building swaying with the wind from the storm
Glass of wine
Bag of sour patch kids
The Good Wife on the telly
Dcat snoozing next to us
Chinese food

You?

Living in the depths of the countryside, surrounded by wide open green space, animals, birds, plants and insects, the sights, sounds and smells of agriculture, dark night skies and as far away from suburbia, urbanisation, the built environment, noise, traffic, light pollution, air pollution, 'busyness', claustrophobia, suffocation and the feeling of being 'hemmed in' as I can possibly get! And, yes, I am living it

A large cottage/country home with a few acres so I can keep chickens and donkeys and grow my own veg (I already have an allotment.)

We'd build some separate cottages for my adult kids, DH could retire and supervise the builds which will make him happy but drive the builders nuts.

My ds1 and his lovely wife home from living in Oz and able to have fertility treatment to have a baby.

The grandkids I already have being able to just run across the property to get to us...

I just need a lottery win😆

A cottage or narrowboat (although I’ve lived in one before and hated high summer and deep winter) with very little. An antique tallboy for my few clothes, fresh eggs from my hens. The stars above me rather than streetlights. Not living it yet!

Living in a house by the sea. All my past dogs alive and living with me.

Dullmary · 29/09/2026 19:15

A cottage in the middle of a dark and impenetrable wood, a lifetime supply of cheese and wine, and 13 talking cats.

The life I have but DH stood moaning.

A fairly big caravan and a decent vehicle to tow it. Spending a few weeks on a caravan site then moving a few miles to.the next place.
Freedom to simply enjoy where I happened to be.

A higgledy piggledy little house on a Greek island, an olive tree by the door . A little garden , pots of red geraniums. A village edge would be perfect . Dark night skies a short walk to a small cove . Lots of dogs and cats .
