Virgin media customer service woes

MuggyMcMugFace · 28/09/2026 08:52

I've been locked out of my email account and nobody at Virgin cares.

Apparently they are migrating everything to a third party email provider and I think they just cba to sort anything out.

I have some important emails that I can't access so I am furious and massively inconvenienced. I have complained and they said they will respond within 28 days.

Anyone else having similar?

Yes.
I've been locked out since June.
It has taken escalating it to the CEO to get anywhere.
I mean, still not in, but do now have a phone number of someone not reading off their script.

We've been with Virgin media for years, as the broadband has been consistently good, but I've never come across such appalling customer service with any company.

Thank you. I will not be migrating to Virgin from SKY. Please let them know this is impacting their future client recruitment.

They gave me £20.

I have started a complaint...

I can't even get on to the mail website now. Just horrendous.

Did you get the warning email before saying you had 45 days notice to transfer to junara

MuggyMcMugFace · 29/09/2026 11:09

No. Did you? And nothing on their website.

No i havent yet but there is a facebook group called virgin media problems and i saw it on there. Currently forwarding all important emails to my gmail. Then i need to advise banks pensions etc of my new email address.

spiderlight · 29/09/2026 11:22

Ugh. This is news to me and I've had my virgin.net email address for over 30 years. It's working currently, but thanks for the heads up and I hope you get it resolved soon.

mazo59 · 29/09/2026 11:24

You can move to junara and they can transfer your virgin email to them for 99p for the first year. Customers are doing this now incase they lose virgin email access.

spiderlight · 29/09/2026 16:16

Thank you, @mazo59 - just done this to be on the safe side, as I have a <[email protected]> address that I've been using since the 90s and I dread to think how many places I'd have to change it, plus I'd end up as firstname.surname978457 by now!

MuggyMcMugFace · 30/09/2026 11:31

I think I've lost my email for good. No warning. I've been on several calls with the tech people and they can't sort it.

So furious. It's years and years of stuff.
