Mainly books. Plus my collections of national dolls and Whimsey animals.

Books - Classics mainly.
A small vase for flowers I picked.
A trinket box.
A photo frame.
A hairbrush. 🤷
Barbie and Sindy dolls used to sit on the edges.

As I grew older the shelves with filled with vinyl records, cassettes and CD's.

A few classics but mostly young adult chick lit on the lowers shelves. The top two were taken up with my porcelain doll collection.

I had a music box with the ballerina that spins around. A yellow giggling snugglebum. Books were Enid blytons and the babysitter club books.

I had a set of wall mounted shelves which had my cassette tapes and my collection of pig ornaments.

My other shelves all had books on them - I was a big reader so all sorts of genres and types.

Seashells, coral, fossils and teddy bears.

This is exactly what I had too.

I used to collect small porcelain woodland creatures. A gift shop local to me used to stock them and I’d save my pocket money and pick one out. I’d forgotten about it until I read this thread
