Clumsy 3yo - what can I do?!

My poor beautiful girl has just tripped on her own feet and bashed her head against the fridge, cutting her head open. I've cleaned it up and closed with steri strips (medic) and she's fine but FFS I feel bloody awful. She did similar in the summer in the garden. My bigger one is not clumsy! The house is safe, nothing sharp on display. I don't know how to help her not hurt herself, short of having her wear a helmet or wrapping her in bubble wrap.

Any advice please? She's otherwise happy, healthy, no signs of ND, she's just clumsy AF. How can I protect her?

If it is only tripping over her own feet... had the same with our now 4 year old. Not UK based. We went to a pediatric physiotherapist who analysed that she was too flexible in her ankles. We had to practice at home (play-based!). We also bought sturdy shoes that gave her ankles extra support.

Has she had an eye test? My friend’s DD was like this and it turned out that she was very short sighted and couldn’t see objects clearly. She now has glasses and is a lot less clumsy!

Don't make it her fault. I was told how 'clumsy' I was as a child. Sometimes kids are just not coordinated.
