So had an investment account. A NatWest one. Withdrew all the money. How do I enter that on my tax return 4,000 up

I don't think you need to specifically. All financial institutions have to let HMRC now how much interest you have earned in a tax year and they adjust your tax code accordingly. At least that is what happened to me.

You need to declare any interest earned on it during the year. If it was already in your account it is not income, although pensions have different rules and there may be cgt to declare on investments like shares which you sell.
