The O2 Greenwich

I’m going to a show with my 12 year old DD at the o2 in February and considering a nearby hotel. Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn near by? It’s around a 15-20 min walk according to Google, but I’m not sure what the walk will be like at that time of night.

That area is pretty safe I would say. You can get a bus to near your hotel too if you don’t want to walk. The hotel is right next to several busy roads though.

I think it will be fine. There will be loads of people leaving the venue and many heading in the same direction as you.

I've stayed there solo before. It felt slightly uncomfortable when there was a building site walkway. Doubt that's still there. After an event I'd imagine hundreds of people will be walking in that direction as its a busy road. The Holiday Inn is fine. I'd stay again.

The area is really built up, there’s student accommodation everywhere so there’s always people around. From the O2 to the hotel is along the main road so you’ll be fine.

Safe area, there will be hundreds of people doing exactly the same thing.

I haven’t stayed at Greenwich Holiday Inn but did stay at Royal Docks Holiday Inn a couple of years back which was really easy to get to and from O2 from.

5 mins walk minutes from the hotel to Canning Town tube station then one stop to North Greenwich and then a couple of minutes walk to O2.

From that hotel I’ve also been on the London Cable car to O2. A bit further to walk from the hotel to the Royal Dock terminal but something a bit different.
