Globber or micro scooter for an unconfident 5 year old

Hello, my DS is just 5 and doesn’t love scooting. He sort-of mastered it when he was three then discarded it for his balance bike (then peddle bike) and hasn’t looked back. But I’d like him to get back into it as it would be more practical than his bike sometimes, and his old one is now too small.

Has anyone got experience of Micro and Globber scooters and can offer an opinion? He’s on the short side for his age and would want something stable and easy to ride. Definitely 3 wheels. Globber seems to be a lot cheaper but money isn’t the main priority.

Any advice is very welcome!

I don’t know about globber but we have had a couple of micro scooters and they have been great and still going!

The quality is excellent on micro scooters and they are soooo smooth a ride

Thank you, I am leaning towards micro. Although I’ve just done some more reading which suggests kids who ride bikes confidently with no stabilisers might prefer a two wheeled scooter with more traditional turn-to-steer handlebars. So that’s confused me even more. It’s a lot of money for something they can’t try out first!
