Hey, i don’t know anyone irl that crochets so thought i would start a thread- show and tell, share patterns/tips/tricks, what are you making right now?
I have been crocheting for years and weirdly only just making my first bobble hat 😂.
I generally make amigurumi.

Fabulous
i knit and crochet, mostly knit these days. I do have a granny shawl on the go that I'm using my sock yarn scraps in.

Something like the Sophie scarf or similar (Google mini scarf and there's quite a few to chose from) is a good beginner project. They can be worked in any weight yarn and work up quickly.

Lovely creations 😊, you're good at it, I'd love to do some little animals but I think I'd find it too fiddly and frustrating.
I've lost my crojo ( crocheting mojo) a bit lately but I'm going on holiday soon and I've chosen a nice little project for while I'm away - the Annie design Tendril shawl, which I'm going to do in a deep forest green colour

They are absolutely lovely OP!

I used to do a lot of crochet work and a lot of knitting - I learnt both as a very young child. Sadly I haven't done any crochet work for years. I generally have some knitting on the go but I don't pick it up and do it regularly, which is ridiculous because when I do sit down with it I really enjoy doing it.

Your thread is inspiring though OP.

I knit and crochet, but haven't knitted in ages as find crochet so much quicker. For years, I've crochet basic, lap rugs which I donate to the local hospice. I made some small flowers which I glued onto hair clips for my nieces one year. As strange as it sounds, I've never made something for myself until this year! I found 'Hooked by Robin' on youtube and am making my first scarf.

Your amigurami are so cute. Do you sell them? I love that shawl posted up thread too. I'm looking for my next project after the scarf, but not sure if matching mittens or a hat would be a bit much in terms of a samey look?

That is a beautiful scarf, might have to make one myself.
I haven’t really done anything other than animals/dolls, the first time i crocheted i picked up one of those crochet kits for a whale teddy, could not for the life of me understand the pattern so learnt how to do it on YouTube 😂.
@5289843DM Family members have said i should sell them and maybe one day when i have the time but at the moment with kids/household stuff i only get a few minutes here and there and maybe a bit of time in the evening to do it, it has taken me 3 days and i still haven’t started the body of the hat, still on the brim 😂
