A friendly thread to chat about our children

Does anyone fancy a thread where we can chat about our children? Maybe they have achieved something deemed small which is actually a significant achievement for them? Or maybe there is nothing in particular going on and it's just an ordinary day.
Either way, I'd like to hear about it. Have been under the weather so some nice friendly chat is welcomed.

I can start by telling you about my DC. My oldest has really surprised us this year with his strength, maturity and wisdom. He was diagnosed with ASD at 3 but is now navigating life, secondary school and a recent lifelong illness like a champ.

My youngest is loving and caring and the reason I haven't given up on life already. He tells me he loves be about 50 times every day. He obeys rules but at the same time, has a strong personality.

Please tell me about your DC.

Years ago, I would have loved to join in this type of thread. Talk about my children, the good and the bad. However, for some time, I have thought these threads are just about data collecting, so no. I won’t join in. Sadly Mumsnet has done very little to stop this happening.
