Hi, currently going through a divorce (no kids) once the settlement is finalised I would have the option of moving areas. I have family that live there which is why I’m considering it. I lived thre as a child but not since and really don’t know the area. Where I currently live I love being just a few mins short walk from local cafes, few independent shops, pharmacy, hairdressers etc. basically all the main things are all an easy walk away and this lifestyle is something I love.
However most of Doncaster doesn’t really seem to have this. I don’t want to live too close to town centre or balby road and they seem to be the main areas that provide this. As I plan on being alone long term my main priority is safety as well as walking distance to these things. I have a strict budget of £200k. I love the flats round lakeside but cannot afford the service charges or the risks of them increasing in years to come.
I also find some of the roads quite scary eg balby road, around the town centre, north road etc and main road towards bessecarr. I am very nervous of using them as I find them really big and busy/ full of crazy drivers.
can anyone suggest where I should be looking for a nice property that fits my requirements please, or even better if you can link to a place for sale that would work for me? Thank you!
